Leadership

Guided by Faith, Service, and Long-Term Commitment

Hearts for the Hungry has no U.S.-based employees. Every member of our leadership team serves as an unpaid volunteer, donating their time, talents, and financial resources so that the maximum amount of every donated dollar can be directed toward serving children and families in Haiti.

The leadership team are among our largest donors of the organization's operating budget, and food procurement, reflecting the leadership team's commitment to sustaining the mission alongside our generous donors.

Rob Hess

Founder

Rob Hess founded Hearts for the Hungry in 2004 after witnessing firsthand the overwhelming poverty facing children and families in Haiti. Moved by the reality that thousands of children were unable to attend school simply because their families could not afford tuition, books, or even a daily meal, Rob dedicated himself to helping provide hope through education, nutrition, and the local church.

Under his leadership, Hearts for the Hungry has partnered with Haitian churches, orphanages, schools and other trusted ministry organizations to help provide educational opportunities, support teachers, and ensure that children receive nutritious meals—often the only meal they will eat that day. Hearts For The Hungry also provides medical needs and disaster relief in times of crisis.

Rob believes that education, nourished by faith, creates opportunities that can change the course of a child's life, strengthen families, and transform communities.

In addition to his humanitarian work, Rob has spent more than 31 years as an entrepreneur and business leader. He serves as CEO of Paragon Print Systems and BarcodeFactory.com, building one of North America's leading technology companies in the labeling, RFID and information tracking industry. He brings the same principles of integrity, stewardship, and servant leadership to both business and ministry, believing that success is measured not only by what we achieve, but by the lives we impact.

For Rob, Hearts for the Hungry is about serving God's children with compassion, dignity, and the hope of a better future.
